RADIESSE® Volumizing Filler: An Ideal Volumizer
Replenishing lost volume and providing optimal lift is the key to diminishing the appearance of facial wrinkles and folds. There are two physical characteristics that dictate the ability of a filler to provide volume and lift – Viscosity and Elasticity (G’).
A recent study shows that RADIESSE® demonstrates a higher level of Viscosity and Elasticity (G’) than leading hyaluronic acids (HAs), making it an ideal filler for volumization.6
Viscosity
Viscosity measures the ability of a filler to withstand a force that is applied to it. RADIESSE was designed with a high viscosity so that it:
- Remains in the place it is injected and will not spread into the surrounding tissue
- Enables the injector to visualize the final result immediately after injection

Elasticity (G’)
Elasticity (G’) measures the ability of a filler to push back against a force that is applied to it. RADIESSE was designed with a high elasticity (G’) so that it:
- Is able to counteract forces that cause an aged look, like gravity or skin laxity
- Provides lift
